The Māori ABs and the Black Ferns will soon be leaving home soil to represent our national sport in the home of football when they take on the USA Eagles in November. The Black Ferns will play at Chicago’s Soldier Field for the first time as they are set to join the Maori All Blacks, the USA Eagles, Italy and Ireland in a triple-header in November.
The Black Ferns and the USA Eagles women’s team will play at Chicago’s Soldier Field for the first time as they are set to join the Maori All Blacks, and the men’s national sides from the USA, Italy and Ireland in a triple-header in November.
The match will be an historic one for the Black Ferns who will run out on North American soil for the very first time and it will be the first ever women’s test game at the ground.
Although the series clashes with with preparations for the start of the 2018/2019 Sevens World Series, Hamilton 7s Rugby coach Allan Bunting has indicated that he may consider releasing some players to take part in the fixture.
These matches will be a fantastic way to kick off end of year campaigns for both teams.”
